VISION AND MISSION

Like other local self-government institutions in Kerala, Mala Block Panchayat has formulated its development vision and mission in accordance with the general development policies of the Local Self-Government Department (LSGD) and the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act. Its primary objective is to enhance the people's quality of life by making optimal use of local resources.

The general vision and mission of Mala Block Panchayat are outlined below:

1. Vision The primary vision of the Block Panchayat is to create a peaceful, resourceful, and progressive society through sustainable, holistic local development and transparent governance.  Sustainable Development: Ensure development that preserves nature through eco-friendly agricultural and industrial practices and efficient waste management systems.

  Social Justice: Build a caring society that ensures equal justice and rights for marginalized and vulnerable sections.   Transparency and Democracy: Enable corruption-free, efficient, and people-centric governance by strengthening Gram Sabhas and public participation.

2. Mission To realize the aforementioned vision, the Block Panchayat operates with the following specific objectives: Advancement of the production sector: Providing substantial support—leveraging modern technology—for paddy cultivation, coconut farming, and dairy development by coordinating the activities of the Grama Panchayats within the Block.

  • Infrastructure development: Ensure better roads, drinking water projects, and the modernization of rural health centers (including compassionate initiatives such as palliative care).
